Privacy Policy

Gratsi ("we", "our", "the app") is a tip calculator app built by an independent developer. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

Receipt Images

When you use the AI scanning feature, your device camera captures a photo of your receipt. This image is sent to our AI processing service (OpenAI) to extract the bill total, tax, and subtotal. The image is processed in real time and is NOT stored on our servers. We do not save, retain, or archive your receipt images after processing is complete.

Subscription & Purchase Data

If you subscribe to Gratsi Premium or make a tip purchase, your payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to track your subscription state. We never see your name, credit card number, billing address, or Apple ID.

Device Storage

We store your preferences locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This includes your default tip percentage, split count, onboarding completion status, and tip history count. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identity information
• We do not require an account or sign-up
• We do not collect location data
• We do not track your browsing activity
• We do not sell, share, or rent any data to third parties
• We do not display advertisements
• We do not use analytics tracking or third-party analytics SDKs
• We do not store receipt images after processing

Third-Party Services

OpenAI: Processes receipt images to extract text. Images are sent via encrypted connection (HTTPS) and processed in real time. OpenAI's API data usage policy states that data sent via API is not used to train their models. See OpenAI's privacy policy.

RevenueCat: Manages subscription status using an anonymous user ID. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Apple: Handles all payment processing for subscriptions and in-app purchases. See Apple's privacy policy.

Data Security

All data transmitted between your device and our processing services is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Receipt images are processed in memory and discarded immediately after the AI extracts the bill values.

Children's Privacy

Gratsi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, please contact us.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data or require accounts, there is no personal data for us to delete, export, or modify. Your locally stored preferences are deleted automatically when you uninstall the app. If you have any questions about your data, contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and the updated date will be revised above.
